Karen has passed the "beta mxies" of your recording of Royal Fireworks on to me for "the next stage" of processing.

First let me tell you how happy she is with the recording. I've now had an opportunity to listen to it several times and I am also extremely happy with everything I hear. I've been urging Karen, for several years, to have her concerts professionally recorded and I was extremely pleased when I saw that she had contacted you for this past concert. Now that I've heard the CD, I'm looking for new adjectives to describe my pleasure.

Kevin Doyle - Freelance Audio Mixer, Producer

Kevin DoyleAvailable for the mixing process and production consulting, multi-platinum Recording Engineer Kevin Doyle brings his extensive knowledge and experience to the Boreal Forest Music Team. His professionalism and notoriety are more than a welcome addition. Check out some of his accomplishments below:

Doyle was nominated in 1983 for a Grammy for his work on Gould’s “Goldberg Variations” which later went on to sell more records than any other classical record of that time.

In 1989, David Tyson hooked up with Doyle to record Alanah Myles’ “Black Velvet which sold over 8 million records, reached #1 on Billboard and garnered 5 Junos and 1 Grammy where Doyle picked up his first of 3 Juno’s as Canada’s best music engineer. In the next 5 years, he was nominated every year for a Juno award and won another in 1994 for his work on Anne Murray’s “Croonin”, where legendary audio engineer George Massenburg was quoted as saying that “Croonin” was an “Audio Delight”.

Doyle’s notoriety in the 1990’s brought him to work with such artists as Van Morrison, Sinead O’Connor, The Chieftains, John McDermott, Hall & Oates, Yo Yo Ma, Hanne Boel, Michelle Wright, Jann Arden and Andrea Bocelli.

In 2003, he spent a couple of months working on the orchestral mixes for Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ”.

Doyle recently finished a recording with Holly Stell, a 12-year-old singing prodigy, where he ventured to Berlin and Vienna to record orchestral music for the Stell and Bocelli records.

Doyle states, “I just finished mixing a project that was recorded in India. It’s so easy to record anywhere with a hard drive and just mail it or bring it to a mixing studio. When I was mixing a film that was recorded in Berlin, the USA and Italy, all I had to do was bring a hard drive with me and mix it back in Toronto and then FTP the mixes back to the film studio in Munich. I have mixing and recording studios in Toronto and London where I teach and can send the mixes anywhere overnight. Often an artist will just send me a hard drive or DVD’s and I’ll mix the songs, email them and wait for their feedback for some minor adjustments.”
